Lions Club Latest Events

Lions Club of Coimbatore Presidency is an association dedicated to the welfare of underprivileged group. The club is managed by top professionals from diverse industries in Coimbatore, the Manchester of South India. We have been a part of several activities for the rural area development and social services in and around the city.

Coimbatore Presidency Service activities for the year of 2017

• Cow Donation towards Saving Native Breed :

  • Donated a Cow with Calf to Mr. A.K. Muthukumar, Attayampathy, Velanthavalam PO, Kerala.
  • Donated a Cow with Calf to Mr. Mylsamy, Coimbatore.

• Education Aid :

  • Donated to S. Devadarshan, 8th Standard, Kurichi Sengottaiah Govt. School, Coimbatore.
  • Donated to J. Jothisree, 9th Standard, Corporation School, Coimbatore.

• Medical Aid :

  • Donated to Mr. M. Meenatchi Sundaram, Aged 72, a Paralytic Patient, Coimbatore.

• 7 members have given fund towards Lions Clubs International Foundation.

• 1 member has given funds towards "Sponsor a Child".

• Blood donation (July): Given 6 units of blood for urgent needs separately.

• Flag hoisting, Tree planting and Donating note books, Pens & Dictionaries to students

• Joined hands with CBE "Royals Club" for their tree planting initiative

• Donated for purchase of Furniture to our Lions Leadership Institute.

• Donated to our fellow Lion K. Shankar, for his Cancer Treatment.

• Blood donation (August): Given 4 units of blood for urgent needs separately.

• Teachers’ Day celebration at K.K. Pudur - School

• Feed The Hunger Project – Donated food to 20 girl children @ Nizhal Charitable Trust, Saravana Nagar, Edayarpalayam, Coimbatore.

• Feed The Hunger Project – Donated food to 27 girl children @ Abhaya Students Shelter, Kalappanaickenpalayam, Somayampalayam Post, Coimbatore - 641108.

• Feed The Hunger Project – Donated food to 30 boy children @ M.M.U. Orphanage, No. 3 T.S. Colony, Sunnambu Kalavai, Kuniayamuthur (PO), Coimbatore - 8.

• Blood Donation (September): Given 8 units of blood for urgent needs separately.
